THE SUN ROTATES

For a long time European philosophers and scientists

believed that the earth stood still in the centre of the

universe and every other body including the sun

moved around it. In the West, this geocentric concept

of the universe was prevalent right from the time of

Ptolemy in the second century B.C. In 1512, Nicholas

Copernicus put forward his Heliocentric Theory of

Planetary Motion, which asserted that the sun is

motionless at the centre of the solar system with the

planets revolving around it.

In 1609, the German scientist Yohannus Keppler

published the ‘Astronomia Nova’. In this he

concluded that not only do the planets move in

elliptical orbits around the sun, they also rotate

upon their axes at irregular speeds. With this

knowledge it became possible for European scientists

to explain correctly many of the mechanisms of the

solar system, including the sequence of night and

day.

After these discoveries, it was thought that the Sun

was stationary and did not rotate about its axis like

the Earth. I remember having studied this fallacy

from Geography books during my school days.

Consider the following Qur’anic verse:

“It is He Who created

the Night and the Day,

and the sun and the moon:

All (the celestial bodies)

swim along, each in its

rounded course.”

[Al-Qur’an 21:33]

The Arabic word used in the above verse is

yasbahoon . This word is derived from the word

sabaha. It carries with it the idea of motion that

comes from any moving body. If you use this word

for a person on the ground, it would not mean that

he is rolling but would imply that he is walking or

running. If you use this word for a person in water,

it would not mean that he is floating but would

imply that he is swimming.

Similarly, if you use the word yasbah for a celestial

body such as the sun, it would not only mean that it

is flying through space but would also mean that it

is rotating as it goes through space. Most school

textbooks have now incorporated the fact that the

sun rotates about its axis. The rotation of the sun

about its own axis can be proved with the help of an

equipment that projects the image of the sun on the

top of a table, so that one can examine the image of

the sun without being blinded. It is noticed that the

sun has spots which complete a circular motion once

every 25 days i.e. the sun takes approximately 25

days to rotate round its axis.

The sun travels through space at roughly 240 km

per second, and takes about 200 million years to

complete one revolution around the centre of our

Milky Way Galaxy.

“It is not permitted

to the Sun to catch up the Moon,

nor can the Night outstrip the Day:

Each (just) swims along

in (its own) orbit

(according to Law).”

[Al-Qur’an 36:40]

only recently by modern astronomy, i.e. the

existence of the individual orbits of the Sun and the

Moon, and their journey through space with their

own motion.

The ‘fixed place’ towards which the sun travels,

carrying with it the solar system, has been located

preirsely by modern astronomy. It has been given a

name, the Solar Apex. The solar system is indeed

moving in space towards a point situated in the

constellation of Hercules (alpha Lyrae) whose exact

location is now firmly established.

The moon rotates around its axis in the same

duration that it takes to revolve around the earth.

It takes approximately 291⁄2 days to complete one

rotation.

One cannot help but be amazed at the scientific

accuracy of the Qur’anic verses. Should we not

ponder over the question: “What is the source of

knowledge contained in the Qur’an?”

  URDU/HINDI

Suraj gardish krta hai.

Ek taweel arse tak europi flaasfa or sciencedano ka khyal tha ke xameen kaynat k markax mein saket khdi hai aor tamam ijram falki maslan suraj waghyra iske gird ghoom rahe hain
Maghrabi Dunya me kaynat ka ye xameen markaxi tasawwur doosri sadi qabal Masih se batlymoos ke xamane se tasleem kya jaraha tha Phir 1512ء mein Nicolas ko per nayks ne saiyaron ki gardish ka “shams markaxi” tasawwur dya.
Is mein is bat par xor deya gaya tha ke suraj nixame shamshi ka mehwar hai aor deygar tamam saiyare iske gird gardish Kar rahe hain. Ye 1609ء ki bat hai jab German sciencedan

Kepler ne apni tehqiqi kitab “falkiyat anjum nu” (astronomia nova) shayah ki is kitab mein usne ye natija nikala tha ke saiyare sirf suraj ke gird bexowi madaron me mhor gardish nahin hai balkeh ek ghyr yaksa raftar se Apne mehwar par bhi gardish mein hain..
Is naxarye ke samne aate hi Europeans sciencedano ke liye nixame shamshi ke kaie band drwaxe khul Gaye they… Isme rat or din ka payda hona aor unki tarbiyat bhi Shamil thi.. In daryafton k bad ye tasawwur kiya jaraha tha ke..
Suraj saken hai aor xameen k manind Apne mahor me gardish krta hai.. Mujhe khoob yad hai ki maine bhi school ke xamane talibe ilmi me Is afsanwi mughalte ke bare mein geography ki kitabon me padha tha.. Darjaxyl Qurani aayt par ghour kijye :
“Wahi Allah hai jisne rat aor din suraj aor Chand payda kiya hai- inme se Har ek Apne Apne madar me tayrte phirte hain”
AL Quran 21:33 Darja bala aayt me istimal hone wala arbi lafx “yesjoon” hai lafx “sabah” se liya gaya hai – isme harkat ka mafhoom paya jata hai Jisse Murad harkat krta hua koi jism hai.. Agr xameen pr rehne wale kisi shaqs ke liye ap yeafx istimal Karen to Iska matlb ye nahin hoga ke ludhak raha hai balke iske mayne ye honge ke woh chal raha hai ya doud raha hai..
Agr ap yahi lafx kisi ayse shaks ke liye istimal karenge jo Pani me hai to Iska Matlab ye nahin hoga k woh pani me bahe ja raha hai balke isse murad ye hogi ke woh pani mein tayr raha hai..
Isi tarha agr aap lafx “یسح” Ajram falki mein se kisi ke liye maslan suraj ke liye istimal Karen to Iska matlb sirf ye nahin hoga ye khla me ud raha hai balke Iska matlb yebhi hoga ke ye khla mein gardish Kar raha hai..
Boht se school ki nisabi kitabon me ab ye bat Shamil ki gaie hai ke suraj apni madar me gardish Kar raha hai.. Suraj ki is mahoore gardish ko hum ek aale ki madad se bhi sabit Kar sakte hain jo suraj ke aks ya shbiha ko kisi meyx pr dikha sakta hai.. Is tarha aankhen bhi nahin chundhyati aor suraj ki shbiha bhi insani aankh ne dekh li hoti hai..
Ye dekha gya hai ki suraj ki satah dhabbe hain jo Har 25 bad ek gol chakkar Pura karte hain yani suraj taqreeban 25 rox me Apne mahor ke gird chakkar Pura karta hai.. Khla me suraj apna safar 240 km fi second ke hisab se Jari rakhta hai..
Aor hamari doodhya kehkashan ke markax ke gird ek chakkar Pura krne mein 200 million baras lagta hai.. Aiye dekhte hain Quran is bare mein kiya kehta hai..
” na aaftab ki ye majal hai ke Chand ko pakde aor na rat din par aage badh Jane wali hai aor sub ke sab aasman mein tayrte phirte hain (AL Quran 36:40)”
Is aayt mein ek boht badi haqiqat ka Bayan hai jisse jadeed mahereen falkiyat ne Hal hi mein daryaft kiya hai aor wo hai.. Suraj aor Chand ke alg Alg madar jo khla mein apni apni mahor harkat ke sath maho safar hain.. Woh muqarrara Muqam jiski janib suraj apni muqammal nixame shamshi ke sath chla jaraha hai Ise mahereen jadeed falkiyat ne bala akhir daryaft krliya hai ise

Solar apex ya res-ul shamsh kehte hai Darasal nixame shamsi khla me ayse muqam ki simt mahu safar hai jo
“Hercules” Nami sitare aor aor is majmuaye me Shamil sitaron me waqe hai Ab iske sahi mahal وقوعka bhi Pata lagaliya gya hai..
Chand Apne mahor k gardish karne me itna hi waqt leta hai jitta jitta woh xameen ke gird chakkar lagane me leta hai..
Ye ek chakkar mukammal karne me taqreeban sadhe untees rox leyleta hai..
Qurani aayt me science sadaqat ko dekh Kar maho hayrat huwe baghyr nahin raha ja sakta kiya hame is sawal pr ghour nahin krna chaiye.. Quran ka Sar chashma e ilm kiya hai?
